I’ve slowed down a lot more than I’m used to.
Just last night I was speaking with a friend about making things happen. It must be in my nature because when I started my business 5 years ago and asked for feedback about my personal brand, it’s the thing people said about me, over and over.
I move things forward and get things done.
Much, much stress results from your wanting to make things happen before their times have come.-Jesus Calling
The challenge is that I got so used to being the one who made things happen, I got stuck on autopilot for a couple of decades.
Until the last two years, I rarely stopped to ask anyone or God for that matter:
- Is this the thing I should be working on?
- Is this the problem I should be solving?
- Is this Your plan for me?
Reflecting on the go
I’m learning to wait for it. I’m learning to listen and reflect as I go. I’m doing my very best to let Him set the pace. Yep, I still mess up. But it feels good to be aware and feel the progress.
How about you? Are you moving forward and making things happen without stopping to reflect, “Is this my purpose?”
