Being 1st In 165 Years With Savanna Duckworth

I had the opportunity recently to sip Bellinis with my local marketing pal Savanna Duckworth. It was her first time at Long Beach, Mississippi’s boat-in-the-sky lounge, officially called Parrish’s.

While catching up on life, work and what it takes to pursue an authentic career path, I loved hearing about the trail Savanna is blazing.

Career Path

You see, Savanna works for the oldest learning institution on the Mississippi Gulf Coast—Saint Stanislaus.

Not only is she the first female Communication Manager at this 165-year old Catholic school exclusively for young men. She’s the school’s first-ever Communication Manager in its history!

Talk about ground-breaking stuff for this millennial, one year out of Auburn University with her BA in Public Relations. She’s as humble as she is sweet, not to mention fearless and wicked smart to hold such a distinction.

Find yourself a mentor like Carole. She is encouraging, authentic and unapologetically herself. With over 20 years of marketing experience, she’s my go-to. Whether you’re a woman entrepreneur or searching to level-up in your career, she’s your gal.

Cheers to your bright future ahead, Savanna, and thanks for helping to keep me young and inspired.

Happy trailblazing,

-Carole
